Betaine HCl 324 mg pepsin 5 mg 180 tablets
Lamberts Betaine HCl is a combination of betaine hydrochloride (natural hydrochloric acid) and pepsin to optimize gastric digestion. Betaine is a methyl donor derived from choline that, when protonated, provides hydrochloric acid, increasing gastric acidity when it is insufficient. Pepsin is the gastric protease that requires an acidic environment to activate and break down proteins in the stomach. This combination is especially valuable in hypochlorhydria (low gastric acidity), common with age, stress, or after bariatric surgery.
Each tablet provides 324 mg of betaine HCl and 5 mg of pepsin. Betaine HCl is ideal for people with slow protein digestion, paradoxical reflux (caused by low acidity), or who seek to optimize protein digestion. Take 1-2 tablets daily, preferably before main meals. 180 tablets. Lamberts.
